We review the TeamGroup PD1000 Portable SSD (512GB). This is among the fastest portable storage to date as it is SSD based, combined with the DNA of NMVe it can reach 1000 MB/sec over USB 3.2 Gen2, not bad for 99 USD eh? The SSD is among the faster portable storage units released and a bit of a trend for TeamGroup. Not just that it is a multifunctional storage unit that is waterproof and dustproof.
The PD1000 is a more premium feeling product, the housing is made of blue anodized aluminum. It uses a USB 3.2 Gen 2 type-c connection for speeds of up to 10 Gb/s. It has an IP68 certificate and must, therefore, be waterproof, dust-resistant and resistant to high pressure. It comes in capacities of 1 TB and 512 GB. The PD1000 read/write speeds are is up to 1000/900 MB/s and it is compatible with operating systems such as Android, Mac OS and Windows, etc.
